Who we are
Driving Test Scanner. Email: help@drivingtestscanner.com.
Driving Test Scanner is an independent Chrome extension. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to DVSA or GOV.UK.
What it does, and doesn't do
- It checks DVSA's booking site for driving tests that match your dates, times and test centres, holds a match for DVSA's 15 minutes, and alerts you.
- It never confirms a booking, makes a change or pays DVSA for you. You do that yourself, on your own DVSA account.
- It pauses when DVSA asks for a security check, and takes breaks when DVSA limits searching.
- We can't promise it will find a test, or that a held test is still free when you confirm it. DVSA decides what's available.
Using it fairly
- Use it only for your own driving test, on your own DVSA account, and follow DVSA's rules. It's against the law to book or change a test for someone else.
- Each account is for one learner and is locked to the first driving licence number it scans with. Don't share an account or use it for other people's tests.
- DVSA may limit or block searching if it sees too much activity. That's outside our control.
Your account
- You sign in with your email address (we send a code), or with Google.
- Choose a username that isn't offensive, hateful or pretending to be someone else (including us or DVSA). Some names are blocked automatically, and we may change or remove usernames that break this.
- Keep access to your email: it's how you sign in and how we reach you.
Price and payment
- You get 3 days of free scanning. If it holds a test for you during that time, you need to unlock (£14.99, once) to continue to that booking. After the 3 days, it's £14.99 once to keep scanning.
- You can also unlock straight away. Unlocking is a one-off payment for one person, with no subscription. It covers scanning and holds until you pass.
- Payments are taken by Stripe. We never see your card details.
- If you remove or turn off the extension while a test is held during the free scanning and before unlocking, it releases the held test by signing you out of DVSA.
Cancelling and refunds
Because you get access straight away when you unlock, you agree that your 14-day right to cancel ends when the unlock starts. This doesn't affect your legal rights if the extension doesn't work as described. See Refunds and disputes.
Our responsibility to you
- We'll provide the extension with reasonable care and skill, as described here and on our website.
- We aren't responsible for DVSA's site, its availability, its rules, or decisions DVSA makes about your bookings or access.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us.
Ending or changing things
- You can stop using it, uninstall it, or ask us to delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend accounts that break these terms, for example by sharing an account between learners.
- We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll show it in the extension or email you.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
