Who's responsible

Driving Test Scanner. Email: privacy@drivingtestscanner.com.

We're the controller of the personal data described here. Questions or requests: email us.

What stays on your computer

Your driving licence number, booking reference, area or postcode, dates, times, test centres and alert settings are saved in Chrome's storage on your computer. The extension uses them to fill in DVSA's booking site for you. We never receive your licence number or booking reference.

What we keep, and why

Our legal basis is providing the service you asked for (contract). For the lock and the alert limit, it's our legitimate interest in stopping misuse.

Who handles it for us

We use trusted providers to run the service: a database and sign-in provider, an email delivery provider, and Stripe for payments. They only process your data on our instructions. Where data is handled outside the UK, it's protected by approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

If you set up Telegram alerts, the alert text goes from your computer straight to Telegram, to your own bot.

DVSA receives your licence number and booking reference directly from your computer when the extension fills in its site, the same as if you typed them yourself.

What we don't do

No advertising, no selling or sharing your data, and no tracking across other sites. The extension only runs on DVSA's booking pages.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete it, we delete your account, username, plan record and licence lock within 30 days. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires. The alert count is only used for the daily limit, and is deleted with your account.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. Email us and we'll reply within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
